THE OLD'S BURDEN

Image
The Old's Burden (Exodus 14:12) Every man who chooses to remain in the past has a huge price to pay, which is regression. For this reason, I must say that every believer must break free from the cycle of modern-day temptation to cling to sinful habits, toxic environments, and relationships, despite the knowledge of their destructive consequences. Looking at this from a spiritual perspective, the journey of the Israelites from Egypt to freedom defines true transformation. Here is my point: this transformation was never a reality without the struggle to break free from the OLD'S BURDEN, which was a major driving force behind the new life God had planned. The reason for the struggle to break free was the comfort of the old, which was actually a burden on the future. (Exodus 14:12) “We said, 'Leave us alone! Let us be slaves to the Egyptians. It's better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!'” From this excerpt, what the Israelites refused to perceive ...

HELP IN HIS PRESENCE

Image
In John Chapter 2, there was a Christian home that began in marriage, however, not quite long into the celebration of their holy matrimony, the devil introduced the pattern of shame, as provision s and everything that could bring sweetness into that home, became insufficient the moment their wine finished. In the Bible, wine symbolizes joy, God's blessing, the Kingdom of God and the transformative power of Christ.  Imagine the things that will finish if wine finishes; God's blessings, provisions and His power. Note, if these dimensions vanish from any home, the end result will be shame and pain. Meanwhile, at that wedding, Jesus and His family were present, in other words, the Kingdom of God was present in that union, yet the wine finished. This means the shame that could have emanated from that insufficiency would not have just affected the family but also bring a dent to the name of the Lord. Bringing this home, there are situations in our lives that have been staged by the e...

A SEEING EYES PART 2

Image
Matthew 6:22 "If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light"  Man is a living being whose existence is engineered spiritually. Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.  It is this breath that carries the vision of a man. Therefore, a man cannot exist independent of the spirit (breath) office God. The vision of a man is so crucial that it decides almost every aspect of his life. Losing one's vision means losing one's purpose. We shall be looking into how a man's vision determines his reach i.e how far he goes.  Let's look at Samson as a case study, a very powerful man who didn't go far despite his potentials and abilities in God. He was mandated to be the deliverer of Israel from the dominion of the philistines who oppressed the Israelites; but he went about that mandate depending on his strength. (Self) Quickly, it was only rec...

A SEEING EYE

Image
Matthew 13:12/16 NKJV [13] Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.  [16] But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;  A SEEING EYE. First and foremost, I emphasize the importance of a seeing eye; as Jesus said, the eye is the lamp of the Body. Lamp enables a smooth flow in whatever path a man has chosen to follow or finds himself, whether by Grace or by circumstances in life. Let's see the genesis of sight from a deep spiritual perspective and how important it is for the creator to have advanced nothing until clarity was established. (The spiritual eye) Genesis chapter 1:3-4   « 3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.  In the next verse, Jehovah saw that the light was good, or else, He continued nothing. How important is your sight? A man cannot advance in nothing until the eyes of his understanding is enlightened.  The spiri...

ABIDING IN CHRIST (John 15:7)

Image
Jesus to many, is still a story (fictitious tale), a veil yet to be uncovered and understood, else, talking about abiding in Him will be another story heading towards confusion, entangled in obscurity. For clarity, when I say Jesus, I'm not just talking about a name written in the scriptures, with inks and prints. I mean an embodiment of a believe system the "logos" saddled with the responsibility of salvation for those who are chosen; yes, the chosen.  (John 6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.) To abide with Christ means to be one with Him; accepting His life, death and resurrection. Now, this is where the story begins for understanding. (Life, Death and Resurrection) The life and the death of Christ is a vast topic unwrapped through eternity; for Christ began before the the foundation of the Earth, also was He slain before the foundation of the same(John 1:1-3, Rev 13:8 please read for clarity)...

LIFE AS A CHRISTIAN PART 2

Image
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. The Creator and His agenda . The very distinction between Man and other living creatures is the breath of God. And to walk according to the spirit means to align with the will of God through His spirit. There's a delegated authority God deposited in man as His advocate on earth which makes man forever dependent on the will of Abba. His sole agenda is that the knowledge of His will becomes the basis of every invention and existence. (John 1:3) All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.  Quickly, let's take this note that, neither is Christ inferior to God nor different from God.  "I and the Father are one". (Established) Having said that, for every goal a man will set to achieve on earth whether spiritual or secular, it must find substantial rooth in the will of God. So, living as a Christia...
